Katy Kids Director

Purpose of the Job:

The purpose of this role is to direct Early Childhood through Elementary for Kids Ministry at the Katy (KTY) Campus. This position will be responsible for providing leadership, oversight, ensuring the effectiveness and efficiency of the overall operations for Nursery through Elementary, Clubhouse, and Check-In Team.

    Experience and Knowledge Required

      • A love and calling toward ministry to children and families
      • Experience supervising multiple projects effectively
      • Excellent verbal and interpersonal skills
      • Ability to learn and use scheduling software
      • Extensive experience and high proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite to include Outlook, Word, Excel, and Powerpoint
      • Exceptional time management, organizational, and prioritization skills with a particular emphasis on follow-through and attention to detail
      • Ability to think and act independently with a high degree of professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality
      • Ability to create, analyze, and maintain project budgets

      Essential Functions and Responsibilities

        Kids Director

        • Partner with Kids Pastor to execute current and future vision and direction of Hope City Kids at the Katy Campus
        • Partner with the Katy Leadership for Katy events
        • Identify, recruit, vet, and develop Kids Dream Team
        • Invest in Kids Dream Team member's spiritual maturity, health, and giftings
        • Responsible for making sure each room in Kids Ministry at Katy is covered for the weekend experience
        • Partner with the Katy Leadership for cleaning and upkeep of KTY building
        • Connect with all Katy Kids Coordinators weekly to communicate upcoming curriculum, events, and updates
        • Distribute weekly curriculum and tools for the Katy Kids Team in a timely manner
        • Coordinate ministry schedules and class assignments for the Katy Kids Team
        • Oversee the distribution of curriculum, forms, brochures, handbooks, and wayouts to volunteers and parents at the Katy Campus
        • Oversee Nursery through Elementary, Clubhouse, and Check-In Team for weekend services and the Katy Campus Events
        • Partner with Kids Pastor and Katy Leadership to develop and coordinate opportunities to invest in parents and their children
        • Participate in department and one-on-one meetings
        • Work with the appropriate staff to develop and implement all security measures related to Nursery through Elementary, Clubhouse, and Check-In Team, including volunteer screening and class/building safety
        • Follow policies and procedures for Emergency, Urgent, and/or Mandatory Reporting
        • Partner with Kids Pastor and WHN Campus Leadership for responding to pastoral needs and care for children and team members
        • Participate in Katy annual budget preparation to ensure adequate funds for operation of Katy Kids
        • Responsible for purchasing approved Katy Early Childhood supplies
        • Ability to work a flexible schedule to include weekends, nights, and holidays
        • Execute additional duties as assigned

        Kids Content & Experience Creator (KCEC) Support

        • Partner with the Kids Content & Experience
        • Creator to organize and execute weekly Kids materials for all locations
        • Assist KCEC with Kids crafts for all locations
        • Assist KCEC with Kids Object lessons for all location
        • Assist KCEC with Kids decor for all locations
        • Assist KCEC with Kids small group materials for all locations
        • Assist KCEC with organizing and inventory for Central Kids materials (Warehouse)

          Physical Demands
