Communication & Digital Media Manager

Purpose of the Job:

To manage all communication and digital media for Hope City through the Brand Department.

Experience and Knowledge Required:

  • Associate degree or higher in communications
  • 2 years of experience in Creative Communications/Digital Communications
  • Knowledge of industry-specific practices, tools and language
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, including presentation skills
  • Ability to persuade and negotiate with others, including conflict resolution skills
  • Highly self-motivated with the ability to drive projects to completion

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for all church-wide email content
  • Compose weekly church-wide emails
  • Maintain all weekly emails in Mail Chimp
  • Write and schedule any special announcement emails
  • Write engaging and creative captions for all social media accounts
  • Create talking points for the upcoming services
  • Help provide copy for internal and external communication
  • Responsible for capturing content at events (missions events, serve day events, staff events) in the event that a photographer is unavailable.
  • Aiding the Creative Supervisor with planning out content, photoshoots for upcoming events, and writing copy for captions
  • Work with Production Team to write content for online preshow
  • Upload Hope City audio podcast
  • Publish weekend message on YouTube every Sunday evening
  • Create weekly YouTube events for live stream
  • Responsible for upkeep of website, app, podcast, Church Online & YouTube
